Case Management
Winslow Solutions case management focuses upon two long term goals:
- maximum independence
- maximum wellness
Disability does not necessarily equate to
inability, and client strengths and capabilities are identified and considered in all cases involving return to work issues.
Cathryn Winslow has managed cases involving work injury or long term disability since 1984. She has taught nurses case management and supervised their work since 1988, but always carried a partial case load, usually composed of catastrophically injured clients.
Cathryn also combines life care planning skill with her case management product. During assessment, projections of care necessary to reach long term goals include projections of
cost. These projections are modified as case conditions change, and help to show effectiveness of case management from two perspectives:
End result (return to work, or community independence)
Cost Containment (measured against cost projections)
With regard to return to work, Cathryn has lengthy experience working with vocational counselors to achieve the best results. She is well aware of the indicators for vocational referral, and will advise clients and insurers on these referrals if requested. Cathryn is also well networked in the vocational rehabilitation community, and can provide referral recommendations to clients/carriers, if requested.
*Official Disability Guidelines are utilized to help validate projected return to work timelines.
